God of the gaps... maybe?

The Deist/Spiritualists tend to frustrate me a bit. They have taken this "middle road" sort of approach, thinking that the truth must be somewhere between atheism and theism. They usually just end up defining god in a way that makes him meaningless, powerless, or both.
