IMHO, I think that it was the worst Star Wars ever made; even the second prequel was better, at least in my opinion. The star-sucking planet was just too much for me to take seriously; I remember sitting in the theater, thinking, "WTF?!"
I agree, if you take away the fact that the Rey was less annoying than either versions of anakin skywalker, and Daisy Ridley had far more Chrisma than either Jake Lloyd or Hayden Christiansen, the force awakens would by most other measures I care about be much worse than any of the sequels.
