Don't have to build houses on roads.
Added in oil.
Diversified unit design.

Unfortunately orcs are almost undebateably superior in online play (which Warcraft O&H did not have, whee). Bloodlusting ogres is ridiculous, the utility of the invisible mage casting blizzard is much less so. I suppose with enough of them one can pop those fucking ogres with polymorph, but that never happens.

O&H is by no means bad... but it is not (imo, i suppose we may differ here) as good as WCII.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
