Ah, but I was a lowly staff accompanist. Now, my badge would have allowed me to throw down and take names . . . but I preferred to just keep my head down and get to the classroom. (After all, I'm a short female, and these were about 7 very large HS boys.) So when the Principal rounded the corner, it was priceless. He was absolutely furious.
Kind of the same deal when out walking. One guy - yep, I would probably turn around and get in his face. More than two - - keep walking.
