Well, my preferred method for portable music listening is through my iPhone 4S, with a MediaFlair and a collection of three (so far, anyway) 64 gig SD cards with music (and some spoken word pieces) from an insane number of genres from Classical to Classic Rock to Jazz to this little thing I decided to listen to as I surfed through Half-Price Books today:

Of course, there's still a bunch of CDs I rent from the library and listen to in the car with an eye towards ripping them and putting them into that collection.
