Some stereotypes are false and unfair, and others are pretty much rooted in fact. Isolated examples do not break a stereotype or a statistical fact. Your manly girlfriend does not set the bell curve for general athletic comparisons between men and women.
Furthermore, if you really cared about discrimination and stereotypes, you wouldn't insult people's intellect with words like "retard" because it reinforces the stereotype that mentally handicapped people are intellectually inferior to mentally healthy people.
