I got strawberries, parsley( flat leaf-I only used it for garnish which is useless now that I just quit being a chef for ever and ever), paw paw ( red and yellow),passion fruit (panama),sage, oregano, basil ( sweet, greek and thai), mandarins, lemons, pomegranite, rhubarb, mint ( common and vietnamese), chilli ( birds eye), chives, tomato ( cherry, tom tom and beefsteak), pumpkin ( kent and butternut), japonica berry, hibiscus and nasturtiums ( for flower salads).
Not one single one is heirloom that I know of.
I'm no expert.
I've just recently got my hands on a heirloom seed booklet from a company in Tasmania and I want to try some stuff but most of it I've never heard of. There's some cool sounding Asian lettuces in there I want to try but I'll have to wait til next year now.
I used to have chickens but I had to give them away as they were turning me into a psychotic axe-murderer in the early hours of every morning. A friend of mine has offered to help me reset the coup for eating pigeons and give me a few of his breeding pairs.
If I ever move further into the country I might try pigs as I love that gamey bacon taste.
Dreams are free. :-)
