For me, buying expensive things means they are going to be expensive to replace (and most the time i don't even use them)
I have a second monitor (about $300), that i rarely use.
Got an electric toothbrush 2 years ago from Christmas and i haven't even opened it yet (obviously unwrapped it but the box is still sealed)
I have a habit of only buying sandbox type games on steam that guarantee at least a year or so of playtime (both Rust and Kerbal Space Program have met this requirement).AAA expensive games that take 3-5h to clear are usually pirated or ignored, i'm not interested in playing though the game multiple times just to find small hidden stuff here and there.Overall i love F2P games that don't disrupt gameplay with micro transactions or slow down your progress to the point where you have to pay (path of exile, planetside2 and warthunder are my current F2P games and they are amazing, here is a little vid on my favorite, planetside2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smMZeu-8FrI
