Have been around for a long time, just not super common. They're very European.Every boy I grew up with was named Joe, Steven, Rob, Mark, Jim, Tim, Ed, Dave, or Randy with the exception of one Todd, and one poor guy named Elmer. Now they are all named Tyler, Brandon, and Trevor, not to mention Tucker. Before that it was Jacob, Luke, and Caleb. Whatever you name him, it will likely reflect his generation---as one of the first in the great wave of Jennifers, I should know.
I'll be so mad if I name my kids Sebastian and Giselle, and they end up being the next Jason and Amanda or something. I used to love the name Isabella before it became super popular. Now it's one of the top names, so I can't use it anymore. Frustrating.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
