That's a fair question, though it's not relevant as to why I choose to vote (or not) based on principle rather than pragmatics.
Oh yeah, I didn't mean it as an argument against what you said. However, I would disagree with not voting in the general election on principle because it isn't the presidential election that matters. Yes, your state will probably go blue no matter who you vote for (as will mine), but you could make a difference in your vote for your senator, representative, and smaller, local positions.
