Oh yeah, I didn't mean it as an argument against what you said. However, I would disagree with not voting in the general election on principle because it isn't the presidential election that matters. Yes, your state will probably go blue no matter who you vote for (as will mine), but you could make a difference in your vote for your senator, representative, and smaller, local positions.

I wasn't aware that I don't vote in state and local elections.  My comments so far have been strictly in the context of electing our president.

Yes, but the ballot in November will include state and local as well as presidential. Do you vote in those other categories but abstain from choosing a presidential candidate?
