RE: His throne is on water..stunning scientific theory that the Quran foretold 1400 y ago

I'm sorry for the long delay. I had...issues that I needed to take care of.

The verse is mysterious, that's why. A wiser approach was for me to remain silent about it; I rushed.
If a more obvious verse is refuted, I will write about it. Your point is all about my credibility. When reality refuted many "Hadiths" which the majority of current day Muslims see as holy, I actually declared that.

You totally read my comment wrong, you got everything confused.
Linguistically, in Arabic language, "water" refers to liquid in general. I would go over it again and hope you get it.
When the Quran says "didn't we create you from degrading water", the sentence is referring to semen.
Semen in ancient Arabic is called "notfa"; the word is also used across the Quran to describe semen.
Using different ways to describe things is a way of writing, that always makes literature works stand out.
Like :
"I ate like there was no tomorrow"
"As I feasted on what remained; I got full".
Feasted, ate like there was no tommorow, actually the same.

No, you would've won this argument if you refuted the verse, and broke it against scientific evidence.
You should focus on that. Claiming that Mohammed peace be upon him went to the pyramids, and cracked the hieroglyphic cipher, stole the egyptian knowledge, then came back to Arabia, to shower the world with stolen knowledge...Or else, how would Mohammed understand ancient Egyptian religion, when it was forgotten, you realize that Egypt was Christian at that time, and the Eastern Roman Empire was controlling it, right?
Oh well.. you can't except me to take you seriously.
You do realize, that Islam is linked with Christianity, Judaism and perhaps every religion you see on earth today?
Actually if you believe in Islam, you believe that the first religion to come to earth was the monolithic faith:
( Sura 2 Verse 213 ) Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.
And Babylon was mentioned too as one of the lands the received the message:
(Sura 2 102 ) And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.
Technically, the real message got twisted over the time, a little by little, up until the turned heathen.
The Quran is all about these ancient nations and how they forged the message of God, the one and only God.
Yeah, I made a topic that said exactly this, and it was...embarrassing.

The members here ended my ignorant post. So your argument is only about ignorant people who use this as an argument.
Yep I was ignorant.
All of us were.
BTW I'm a programmer xD
As for the fetus, then good for Aristotle. yes, ancient greek had briliant minds, but you again fail to refute the Quran.
You'll refute it if for example, if God said in it that the fetus is made of plastic or something.
I'm astonished by Mohammed's -peace be upon him- great wide mind, that could :
1-Decipher ancient Egyptian language
2-Travel to Greece and learn there
3-Write in Arabic, despite him not knowing how to read or write
4-Learn in different languages, while he can't even write in his own language.
Stunning.
Don't bother. They worthy of kinder garden debates.
You can use them against Sunni/Shia Muslims and irritate them with them -especially saying Mahmoudi-.
As for the line that destroyed you in my eyes, along with the ignorance you made me waste my time answering, Arabs never got an empire before Islam.
Since you're mentally challenged in this regard, I won't give you articles to read, but documentries to watch:
Stop wasting my time please.

Quote:Whereas if you want to believe, you'll ignore any facts that contradict what you believe, and take the flimsiest "evidence" as proof that what you want to believe is true.
For example, 1 word in a 1400 year old book is the same as 1 word in a newly developed and as-yet-unproven theory. So you immediately start a topic saying "This confirms the Koran is right".
But as Jenny A says, if the theory is refuted, you will start precisely 0 topics saying "This suggests the Koran is wrong".

Quote:Like the one where the Qur'an says that iron came from outer space. "How could Mahmoud possibly know that a stunning 1400 years ago before modern science?" Well he fucking didn't. It was knowledge taken from the ancient Egyptians, they knew about it around 5000 years ago because they harvested iron from meteorites. And I'm pretty sure you can see meteoroids (meteorites before impact) falling from outer space/the sky. So there goes one scientific "miracle" to hell. Also note that it wasn't God's words. It was ancient Egyptians knawwledge implemented into the Qur'an.

Quote:"But, what about when the Qur'an mentions the BIG BANG!?" Actually the Qur'an wasn't first. The Sumerians were, it was a sumerian creation story (didn't represent the Big Bang fyi, just misinterpreted). So the people who wrote the Qur'an thought this made sense and implemented it into the Qur'an.

Quote:"Hold on, the Qur'an says that the our Earth is spherical, explain that!" Yeah, thanks to Pythagoras around 500 B.C. an ancient greek mathematician and philosophor had the brains to calculate it/know it, so, yeah. It was possible before modern science. Here again the writers of the Qur'an took knowledge from others and implemented it. Scientific "miracle"? Nope.

Quote:What about when the Qur'an mentions that the moon doesn't shine, but reflects the sunlight? How could Mahmodi have known that? Yet again, taken from the ancient greeks.
Anaxagoras knew that the moon reflected didn't shine and reflected light around 500 B.C

Quote:I don't care enough to mention others, if there are any... And before you ask how could Muhammed have had access to all this knowledge. Well if you didn't skip school, or at least made your research then you would have known around the times the Qur'an was written or modified, the arabic empire was huge. It stretched out very far, and they were great at trading since they made their own silver coins, which became more and more common. They had many universities filled with ancient greek knowledge, they had even learnt a lot from the Indians, including mathematics, medicine etc. And all the knowledge they've taken has been in their reach: Mesopotamia, ancient Greece, Sumer etc. Coincidence?
