If a more obvious verse is refuted, I will write about it. Your point is all about my credibility. When reality refuted many "Hadiths" which the majority of current day Muslims see as holy, I actually declared that.

Linguistically, in Arabic language, "water" refers to liquid in general. I would go over it again and hope you get it.
When the Quran says "didn't we create you from degrading water", the sentence is referring to semen.
Semen in ancient Arabic is called "notfa"; the word is also used across the Quran to describe semen.
Using different ways to describe things is a way of writing, that always makes literature works stand out.
Like :
"I ate like there was no tomorrow"
"As I feasted on what remained; I got full".
Feasted, ate like there was no tommorow, actually the same.

And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.
And Babylon was mentioned too as one of the lands the received the message:
(Sura 2 102 ) And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. 2-Travel to Greece and learn there
