You're the right age, Kosh... how about SAE? Great or bullshit?

 

I was a purist back in my youth.  I hated anything that had more than a couple controls.  That being said, I've never actually listened to any SAE gear so I can't speak to it's sound wuality.  I will say this..  All those switches, knobs, meters, and controls still make my skin crawl a bit.  All I can think about is signal path and how much stuff the audio has to go through to get to the speakers.
