How is walking in front of a women "disrespect"? Sometimes you do some times you dont. Is there a law somewhere mandating who walks in front and who walks behind? Seems to me if where we find gender rolls is in right wing religion.
I think that is really dumb to say there is a correct order or should be one. I think it matters more how a couple treats each other, not who does what.
And it was pointed out in any case, that it is Secret Service protocol, so if Hillary were to be president, she'd come out first, does that mean she'd be "disrespecting" Bill?
I've had women open doors for me and I have opened doors for women and men, it is simply being polite, doesn't mean there is a roll that mandates who does it.
