And oh look, another thread about transsexuals by people obsessed with genitalia. Do we really have to repeat the same arguments all over again? And once more, it's an unwilling acceptance from the bigots that they exist but with the underlying message that they shouldn't dare expect to have any kind of sexuality or think that you are anything more than a second rate citizen.
In reality though you'd be surprised at just how many people actually ignore all this and fall in love with the person rather than their body or their medical past. Many straight men and women with no fetish for transgendered people can indulge in sexual relations with a trans person, even if they are pre-op.
I think I would have had mental blocks 10, 15 years ago and would have had some problems. Now I wouldn't care. It's a matter of personal growth, experience and learning about the issue, so I don't judge people who have negative feelings but admit that it is not a rational issue.
That being said, if I had unknowingly fallen in love with a trans woman 15 years ago and she had revealed that fact to me at some point (3d date! ), I would have been a bit disturbed initially, but I'm relatively hopeful that I would have gotten over it. The issue would eventually fall in the same category as "I can't have kids".
