So at last we have come around entirely and answered the OP question... the main reason I'm an atheist. They all sound like Rik to me, in the end, in their various magical-thinker flavors.

It is bizarre but some people waste all their lives chasing ghosts.
They think that they are on the right track but they look at only one side of the issue.
A sheet has got two sides but the so called experts only look at one side.
In this way they get nowhere.  

But these people are stubborn.
They never give up until their head give up.
They thought that they could brake the wall with their head.
