I will always wonder what if people in history had the same defeatist pessimist attitude as Minimalist. If 150 years or so ago Women who wanted to fight for equal rights just took everything at face value and said "It's not going to happen. Yeah I want work in the same job as a man too, but it aint never gonna happen". Or if Lincoln had considered proposing the Thirteenth Amendment to abolish slavery but then said "Nah, congress seems largely in favor of it, it will never happen so there's no use in trying". Yet Minimalist continues expressing this bullshit defeatism like we lost a war that we never started.
Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?
