I thought Americans would have remembered how embarrassing Silvio Berlusconi was for Italy. But now we see Americans voting against their economic interests yet again, giving the majority of delegates to two people who somehow managed to be more scandalous than Berlusconi.

The overwhelmingly vast majority cannot even place Italy on a map, much less recognize Berlusconi's name.

But they know that it is where pizza comes from.
