Women should not travel more than 48 miles without a male escort – Muslim group

RE: Women should not travel more than 48 miles without a male escort – Muslim group
(May 8, 2016 at 5:03 pm)MrNoMorePropaganda Wrote: Dr. Taj Hargay isn't afraid to point that out and al-Saud henchmen hate him for that. They say he is encouraging "ilsamophobia" for pointing out the facts. This the sort of crap they use to try and say the good doctor is a idiot.

A point should be cited, btw even the most extremist version of Salafi/ Wahhabi Islam, across all Islamic opinions, Niqab is prohibited and women shouldn't wear it in the "Haj" and "Omra", and wearing it in the prayer of everyday is "hated/Detestable"..

One can wonder why.. if it's so stressed on -as Wahhabies and Salafies claim-, then why is it proved -by all Muslims even Salafies themselves- that it's forbidden/Distasteful? I mean, if it's so holy, it should be worn in the grand mosque during Haj.

It's a cultural habit..And people from that culture -natives the Arabian peninsula; mainly- have been waging this crusade to make it seem like an Islamic habit for about a 100 years..

But nobody can disprove the fact, that it was the outfit of prostitutes in ancient times; and it is a symbol of sexism against women.

I'm not very inclined to ban it though, because I like giving each individual their freedom; I myself like some freaky outfits and styles, but I can totally understand the security risks..if something causes a security dilemma. then demanding the society to just trust you because of your gender is...an act of double standards?,..honestly, women who think they are "above the law" just because they are "women" are -in their core- not so different from feminists, feminism is simply demanding to treat women like children, as if they were special and more "sacred" than men -and in reality: all life is sacred-, women who wear the Niqab also, want us to assume that behind the mask, there is a "sinless angel" that never kills, never robs, never butchers...etc.

Well, these are double standards TBH.

Quote:I'm sure you have a lot to say on that - like you did with there not being Ijma on alcohol. Pretty sure only Wahaabi-Salafi scholars (on the Sunni side) encourage women to dress in bin bags. Shias have the Chador. How do women even cope dressed all in black like that if they are in the middle of desert (especially during Ramadan when you can't even drink water for the entire day)?

Quoting the whole part from the article, I do have lots of comments which are enough to tear this, limb to limb (well..this was the very first topic that got me to question the Sunni faith):

Quote:Another groundless assertion that Dr Hargey makes in ‘support’ of his campaign against the ‘burka’ is that the veil does not have a place in Islam and is that it is completely against Islamic thought and tradition. This claim is riddled with inaccuracies and misinformation. History documents that amongst the vast majority of Muslim scholars since the early days of Islam, there has always been a healthy culture of debating religious issues. These topics would include the best way to offer prayer, whether shellfish is a permitted for consumption and if the face veil is obligatory or just an extra act of worship. Within all schools of thought the face veil has always been considered, at the very least, to be an honored act of obedience to The Creator.

1) There were two types of Hijab, expressed explicitly in the Quran (I'll quote the explicit, obvious verses that Wahhabies always ignore):

#)The Hijab of the house of the Prophet:- (a special form of Hijab, dedicated only & only for THE PROPHET'S WIVES):

Sura 33
( 32 )   O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech.
( 33 )   And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance. And establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity [of sin], O people of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification.
( 34 )   And remember what is recited in your houses of the verses of Allah and wisdom. Indeed, Allah is ever Subtle and Acquainted [with all things].

And, if they couldn't handle this, they can simply forget the cause and ask Mohammed to divorce them:

Sura 33
( 28 )   O Prophet, say to your wives, "If you should desire the worldly life and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you and give you a gracious release.

( 29 )   But if you should desire Allah and His Messenger and the home of the Hereafter - then indeed, Allah has prepared for the doers of good among you a great reward."
( 30 )   O wives of the Prophet, whoever of you should commit a clear immorality - for her the punishment would be doubled two fold, and ever is that, for Allah, easy.

They always had the choice to abandon the cause and note: penalties would be reduced upon them in case of a sin that requires a penalty; i.e it's very tempting to leave.but they chose to continue and move forward..but how brave Aisha was when she led an army to keep on the path of her late husband.. but yeah; sexism created the Shia faith and Musliim men stood with Ali and then: the Ummayads, and God was watching all the time..he saw what they did, sexists !

#)The second type of Hijab is the Hijab for the regular everyday Muslim woman, cited in this verse:

Sura 33
( 59 )   O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

You can see it: no legs exposed

Sura 24
( 30 )   Tell the believing men to reduce of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do.
( 31 )   And tell the believing women to reduce of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.

No cleevage showing + mostly no hair; too.

As a conclusion, the only women who were demanded to cover their faces, were the wives of the Prophet, knowing that the Quran mentioned explictly, that the wives of the prophet are unique, they have special and unique rules; and they were given the choice to get divorced from Mohammed and live like everybody else..

But they chose to be vigilant (like Aisha) and carried on the banner even after Mohammed's death..and the cool, fantastic Arabic culture kept bombarding their gender with all kinds of sexism.
