This dude can't be a Buddhist. I've known a few of them, and they're never this bad. Or this douchey.
I've desperately wanted to stay out of this bullshit conversation, but I'll answer you.
From Merriam-Webster's online dictionary:
Full Definition of metaphysics
a (1) : a division of philosophy that is concerned with the fundamental nature of reality and being and that includes ontology, cosmology, and often epistemology
(2) : ontology 2
b : abstract philosophical studies : a study of what is outside objective experience
If you mean the first definition, then yes I suppose that's a real philosophy. If you mean the second one (which you obviously do), then no, metaphysics isn't real. There's zero testable evidence that can support it, other than some thoroughly-debunked bullshit that will nevertheless be asserted endlessly by the gullible. That's why it says "outside objective experience".
If you come to an atheist site peddling woo-woo, you're going to get insulted and your ideas derided. The reasons should be obvious, since you can't bring any objective evidence to the table, and instead (as we see almost daily, here) resort to emotional pleas and manipulation in an attempt to imply that it's us, not you, who are swallowing subjective bullshit whole.
For instance, meditation, which was long considered a magical act because of the benefits it brought to those who practiced it. Well, the benefits of meditation are indeed real, and they are explained by discoveries in neuroscience, not by magic. (Oh, I'm sorry I meant to use the synonym "metaphysics".)
And by the way, if you're a Buddhist, you're an atheist, since Siddhartha Gautama was apparently pretty clear he was not a god, and did not wish to be venerated as one, except to serve as an example of giving up selfish desires, which he felt were the source of all pain in the world. So you have no god(s), and are an atheist. Welcome to the club.

A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.
