You don't see retarded people like this much anymore. So many moms and dads think it's fine just to scramble their baby because it is different.
I have 4 children and love them all dearly. Thankfully, none are retarded but I doubt I could ever bring myself to kill one, even if it was.
What do you all think of this practice of "screening" unborn babies before ending them?
Screening is an excellent idea as long as it's used for things that would otherwise lead to long term suffering or other problems. you have 4 children, what if one of them had a condition that demanded 24 hour a day care? the lives of the other 3 would suffer as would you, now what if that could be avoided?
You mean would I cut him/her out of my womb before they were born? No of course not.
It would be a challenge and a heartache at times, but I would know he/she would be worth it.
I am however blessed, to belong to a warm, supportive church environment, with a good pastor, good friends, and a good.. network. The spirit of Jesus is really alive there!
Thats what I think atheists are missing. They kind of hate pain and suffering, and think its bad all the time. Pain and suffering isn't a country dance, but it can help you be close to God. In all your pain and sorrow, you can say to yourself "Jesus, I know this is nothing compared to what you went through on calvary. Please help and be with me."
I've said that little prayer to myself many times, and it's always helped.
Anyway, people are people, and deserve to be treated as such. Even my child was a mute, Id still love it and keep it.
