Children are already enough of a burden with which to deal.
Mentally disabled children would naturally be more of a burden.
I see nothing wrong with a woman deciding what she wishes to do with her body. If she does not want to deal with taking care of a child, that is her choice, no matter whether the child will be born normal or mentally disabled.
However, science making the advancements in determining what mental capacities or disabilities will be prevalent from the fetal state at least allows the woman to have further control over her body.
Far be it for me to tell any woman what to do.
If she wants to make her life harder by taking care of a mentally disabled child, that is her choice. It is also the woman's choice to abort for whatever reason.
