Women earn less than Men

Gross generalizations, Joe - - and yes, the childcare issues have to be a big factor - "family over career" is not a bad thing.  I happen to be a single female, very committed to my job, and of course, the one that takes on the extra duty and never takes time off.  I'm still invisible when any guy on the job starts talking.  
    No, this affect is due to a number of factors, starting with the old agrarian/patriarchal model that men earn the pay and women care for the children, which was set in stone in the USA until the 1960's, and is still around today.  And it is based in sexism - recently a boss in a successful tech business came under fire for refusing to even interview female applicants for a position, because he stated that "men are just better at ____ and no woman would be competent".   I loved this article about sexism by a trans man - it's a good read, you should check it out:  http://everydayfeminism.com/2015/05/male...trans-men/
