The Bible has never been translated into the Pirahã language. A linguistics professor turned missionary tried to do it, but he soon discovered the tribe were one of the only fully atheistic societies on Earth. They had no concept of a God, no creation story (they believed everything was around forever), and rejected his teachings of Jesus.

The professor was called Daniel Everett, and he left the tribe as an atheist.
