Yeah, sure - zoo employees can't wait to shoot the animals in their care. I'll bet they were fighting over the gun. "Come on, Bob! It's my turn to shoot that f*cking thing!"
And, of course tranquilizers are magic - just like in the movies. You just prick a 300lb gorilla with a needle and it goes out like a light...
Someone wanted that gorilla dead. And the only other animals, that prey on gorillas - except for humans - are leopards. Call me crazy, but I think, that if you look deep enough into this you'll find, that some sort of large cat conspiracy was involved...
