I may not be the brightest bulb in the shop, but one thing I've learned over the years is to never, EVER criticize a woman's taste in shoes.  Safer to tell her that her firstborn looks like a poorly shaved gibbon.

I'm lucky here, Emma finds them as ridiculous as I do She wanted something with a kitten heel (I learned something about shoes...) but they had either totally flat or cliff-face heels. She finally settled for some cute slipper looking things
