Really? Did she say "thank god", and mean "I thank you as I do god because I am so grateful for your kind heart as revealed in saving my baby"?

If the kind woman as a person, rather than as just a assumed agent in baby's mother's christian world, crossed the boby's mother's mind at all, it is probably in the ungrateful context of "aren't you glad your were made a minion to my god who is looking out for me? BTW next to god I can't spare a moment to thank you for a kind heart which I assert to be a credit not to you, but to god?"
Thanking god for human deeds is but one menifestation of the demeaning nature of christianity and of its equally disreputable astranged twin - Islam. It is disgusting. Get over it.
