Well obviously you're just not interpreting the scripture correctly.

Is your interpretation the right one by any chance? Is the massive amount of violence and death in the Bible all metaphorical? Is the slaughter of all the living things in Jerico other than the helpful prostitute just illustrative and not to be taken at face value?

That was a sarcastic sentence. *points up to religious views*

Although I'd like to say my interpretation of anything is the correct one. Cool Shades

It actually wasn't sarcastic, I was trying to gauge how you justify your belief. You reference scripture, so I thought you might take the whole thing literally. You haven't actually answered me, can you please?

I don't believe in it anymore. Back when I did, we just kind of ignored the harsher parts, and I just let my teacher/preacher guide the lessons without question.

Was this common among your peers? What made you stop believing?

Yep. Just listen to the teachers, stay in the bible, and remember that anything god does is inherently good because the bible says he's good.

I left because over time I became disillusioned by the parts I didn't agree with, and found people and videos on the internet that shared the atheistic belief.

Come to my side, max-greece. I have chocolate. We can watch Madagascar together.

There are a few facts he misses. First, Christ came for the sick, not the righteous.

Luke 5:32

32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Second, Paul told us that BOTH the righteous and sinners (clean and unclean animals in the Ark) will be raised from the dead in the resurrection. Baptism is the key to this. Our immersion into the waters of life ends in death, but "you must be born again." Death is transition.

Acts 24

15 and I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. 16 So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.

He points a finger at Christians as if belief causes war. This is not true. Daddy Warbucks funds both sides of war and he is an Atheist. Builders who reject the Chief Cornerstone are Masons, or Daddy Warbucks creating orphan Annie. He is after the money from the wars he causes. Christians have nothing to do with this. Taking the name of the Cornerstone requires the character. Those who take it in vain are not Christians.

Lastly, he leaves out the millions killed by the practice of abortion. This, again, has nothing to do with religion. Secularism is not founded on the Cornerstone.
