In a laptop, that is likely not even possible.
How much memory does your laptop have? Version of Windows?
Are you able to run a stock minecraft installation with no mods?
I don't have a problem with the laptop. I have this problem with my Desktop AIO, It's already been to the computer guy once and he was fascinated as the inside is fully capable of expanding memory and things can be replaced inside of it even though it is very similar to a laptop. It's a Gateway All In One. I'm running Windows 7 on it. Remember it's six years old.
