I understand how people become upset by what others state in the moment of passion, but should such an individual be held accountable for something like that?

Not at all.

As reasonable human beings, we understand all that is human. We understand that sometimes emotion gets the best of us, we understand that sometimes we state things out of pure passion.

I love this forum because it understands us.
