Technically, we only really did it once. The War of 1812 doesn't really count. We mostly fought with them in Canada and only actually kicked them off our land after the Treaty of Ghent was signed and both sides kept running around like jackasses because we (both sides) were too stupid to sign the treaty a little closer so news would get to the dudes in the trenches faster.
Back on topic and some more off-topic. Of course, people who believe in god are going to jump all over god explanations the second something like this happen. I know it is kind of dumb, but it is also a way to maintain the crutch of faith. They need it all the more right now. Poor mental weaklings.
As for the global warming thing, yes, climate change obviously affects weather systems. Do you need climate change for a tornado outbreak? No, you do not. Whether you think global warming is an issue or not is irrelevant. This shit would happen whether we are here or not and has been happening since weather in the United States has been recorded. People use tragedy to push agendas. Don't get caught up in it.
