Well, I was "pro" in the sense that I made money at it; played full time (6 days a week, 5 hours a night) for just 3 years. Never played with any well known people. So call it 'semi-pro,' like yourself, if you like. ;-)

Name's Dave. Grew up in Seattle. Pro guitarist/singer for ten years. Mac/Apple consultant. English teacher/editor in Tokyo in '90s. Now 10 years in Bangkok doing Mac work, teaching guitar and English. When I was younger I guess I called myself agnostic. Maybe 10 years ago decided atheist was correct. If any of you are in Bangkok, or plan to visit, let me know. Now time to go explore the forum a bit.

Wow! How do you manage such a diverse lifestyle I may ask? Musician, singer, IT professional, teacher...how did you start, and how do you manage? haha
I'm an unusual person, I guess. Single; like variety, learning, doing new things. Like freedom, exploring. I live very simply in one small room on outskirts of Bangkok. No car. Can live quite cheaply this way. Lots of time to study, think.... ;-)
