Bollocks, saying something along the lines of "They got hit by tornadoes, serves them right for denying climate change" implies both that they are responsible and that they deserved it.

I think you know even as described by you it is actually not really an extreme outlier amongst human behavior, and many kinds of fuckers would say something like this when it suits them. So tactical theatrical indignation based on pretending what is regretably almost behaviorally mainstream is really on the extreme margin is not effective, rather it is self-discrediting.
