I'm assuming that her parents are Tory voters. Possibly even from the south of England originally. I used to be a Tory voter at her age because I was raised in a Tory voting Daily Mail reading household on the south coast of England. The parent's political views are normally the biggest influence on how people vote. Even today I still can't bring myself to vote Labour. It takes a concerted effort to challenge your own conditioning and to question your own assumptions. Propaganda works for a reason.
The only thing my father disliked about me was the idea of supporting Manchester United, liking Sir Alex Ferguson and wanting Stephen Hendry to win the World Championship at the crucible. For the politics and the religion, at 11 years of age, I have no leanings in politics and I am agnostic (roughly 5.5 on the Dawkins scale) in my religious, or non-religious leanings.
