Is white privilege real? To what extent?

If you want an argument to work you should really stop using me as an example of the things that won't happen to white people because their in the majority.

You do realize that this is a pretty good working definition of white privilege...right?

I don't know how many times I have to repeat this but I lived in a Pakistani community for 31 years, yes I have had to worry about what I say because sometimes I've made a remark it's been said it's a typical white thing to say and white people always say that.

.........you know what it means to be a minority, and yet......

My family has been told that we might aswell sell our house and leave by some old Pakistani who just came to our door to tell us that, I've been punched, called white trash and every other name relating to that phrase.

-and yet..........

And that's not to cast a bad light onto the Pakistanis, the majority of the time they're great  neighbours and there's worse white majority areas near me to live in, but in 31 years I've encountered some idiots.

Yeah, fucking pakis.....

So white privilege and all other arguments aside, don't say you know what I've had to worry about and what I haven't had to worry about at least without asking me first. And that's if you want any kind of accuracy or truth to what you're saying.

Can you hear that sound...it's my ivory violin, playing a distinctly chalky tune for all your struggles as a white man.

If I get told anymore about me not having to worry about being in the minority or the prejudice that sometimes entails from that I'll just assume people aren't reading what I'm writing.

Look..I'm sorry that you weren't able to avail yourself of white privilege, assuming that's actually true...I really am. I take it for granted daily. Your inability to plug in doesn't mean that it doesn't exist...you realize? Maybe you just needed parents like mine, to teach you how to really throw your presumed racial pedigree around?

I have no idea what your rebuttal to my first point really means.

I said don't use me as an example of people who have the advantage because they're in the majority in the area they live and tell me what I do and don't have to worry about.
