Is white privilege real? To what extent?

I am not, have not, and will not speak about the privileges (or lack thereof) of the races in other nations, because I don't have the grasp of knowledge I feel would be required to speak intelligently. If it helps understanding, I have been and will only be speaking of the American context.


I don't agree. Privilege in this context is not talking about the people themselves, but rather, about social attitudes towards social groups. When I'm talking about white privilege in America, I am not talking about whites in America. I am talking about the social attitudes and power structures that accord different treatment to the different races.


Climd down from the cross there. He can't put you on ignore because he's a moderator, and he cannot ban you absent a clear infraction of rules and a quorom of staff agreement.

He has the powers to thread-ban me (this is within the powers of both mods and admins.) Secondly, I prefer you reply in a tone that is not as condescending as your post above.

You're clearly not cognizant of the moderating process here. Aside from crap like porn or spam, banning a regular, posting member such as yourself requires a quorom.

As for condescension, perhaps if the doctor doesn't like the medication he ought not prescribe it so much himself?
