... but wouldn't it be better, instead of engaging in slippery slope arguments against the game, to wait and see what happens if a car or person actually gets sideswiped? I don't play the game- with all the creepy stories surrounding it, I'd rather not- but I'm not going to pass judgement on people who might do something wrong as a result of it.

Look at the news. It's already happening. No need to wait and the arguments aren't exactly slippery since damage is all around us. 

In my anecdotal experience, kids of this generation are much more sensitive to others than when I was growing up. Not to mention what TRJF (I think?) was saying about the largest group playing actually being adults who grew up with Pokemon, not children.

Hence my point of "drivers" causing damage. Anyone old enough to possess a driver's license, should have enough common sense to realize there are certain behaviors/actions/responsibilities that come with getting behind the wheel of a two ton machine. 

The other day, I was in Walmart (ick), and I saw a guy staring at his phone while walking. An old dude came down an aisle and smashed into the guy. What happened? The young guy apologized profusely and ended up helping the cranky old guy get something off a high shelf. By the end of the exchange the two of them were smiling and laughing with each other.

And that whole situation could have been avoided if the younger guy was paying more attention to where he was going vs. staring at his phone.
