Are you super lazy on account of having a full fridge? I'm not. Hell, work is a forgone conclusion if you have nothing to eat, the labor of starving people is worth next to nothing. Sure as shit couldn;t hire a starving person in my line of work...I wouldn;t be able to make a dime. Nothing would make it to market, be like a bunch of locusts descending upon my livelihood.
I'm really surprised Rhythm..I've been impressed so far with your posts and ideals, but this is human behaviorism 101. It comes back to the old "Give a man a fish/teach a man to fish" saying. You feed people for free? You have a source that will never dry up and requires no processing, or growing, or packaging? You give people free food and they will feel entitled to free everything, then they'll want better food, and they'll burn the facility down if you don't produce it, rumors will start that another town gets the GOOD food, while they get the same old crap...it will become a RIGHT to free food instead of a privilege, and soon it will be abused. History is full of examples of that behavior pattern.
It would be simple to build a utopia on this planet. One where everybody was fed and clothed and educated. ONE thing stops that from becoming a reality. Any idea what it is?
Human Nature.
Things are a lot more like they used to be, than they are now.
