Yes, I told a mod and he was banned but they weren't clear on whether the ban would be lifted in the future. I found out later that he also posted a similarly explicit and threatening response to me on a forum thread. I didn't see it before it was deleted by a mod but apparently the message sat on the forum for about 12 hours before a mod removed it. The PM also explicitly threatened my young child. When I started thinking about keeping a baseball bat near my front door, I knew it was time to step away from the forum.
On a side note, I think mods can make or break a forum - I like it here a lot because I think the mods are doing a good job.
