Yea we do. Fortunately in this case it is unimportant, but in life globally especially with politics and religion and business, far too many humans think competition is a sport to the point of harming others.
It isn't that I hate competition, it is part of evolution. But I don't see that enough people understand that you cant simply have it blindly. I do find it sad that people put so much passion over teams they don't own or play for, while others starve and workers cant make ends meet. Plus having been a Washington fan for 40 years, you understand long term it is a crap shoot in any case. You have good years and bad years and good decades and bad decades. That is why I personally just make my picks for for fun. I have long since stopped stressing out over a Skins loss other than silly ranting.
And even outside professional sports, growing up I never liked it when other kids on the block or in school would throw fits or get into fights when they lost. Once played a game of pick up football, where I ran out for a pass and beat the guy covering me to make a touchdown, he was so pissed that when I reached the blacktop of the basketball court at the end of the field trying to slow down, he pushed me in the back causing me to fall forward which sprained my wrist and caused my forearms to end up like grated bloody cheese. So on top of being sensitive to bullies, I have never been a fan of those who cant simply have fun win or lose.
It is fine that people have different personalities, but I guess for me I am way too sensitive to over competitive people who cant have fun even if they lose. Not accusing you of that, just speaking in terms of my life's experiences.
