Good for you. I have to admit I'm in maintenance mode weight wise. I think maybe this fall or winter I'll gear up to shed some more pounds but for now I'm just straddling 200 and feeling pretty good about it. My blown out knee seems to have finally sorted itself out. Yesterday we hiked 3.5 miles with a lot of up and down without a glitch and no pain or swelling after. If I can get back to doing long brisk walks regularly it will become much easier to lose weight.
I'd be thrilled to be straddling 200. That's probably a year away at least. For starters I would be happy to get back to the weight I was before I started having all the health issues. So far I've lost 21 lbs, which has made quite a difference in my mobility and comfort. I just started my medium-term goal of losing at least 35 lbs in six months, and sneaky me is going to accomplish that by cutting calories enough to lose 50 in the same period of time.
I "hiked" three miles this morning on a forested trail we have here in town. I say "hiked" because it's paved. That's a pretty big milestone for me. I used to be an avid hiker and backpacker but my health issues have made that difficult. I think I can do that now, and if I get down to my 2011 weight, I'll be able to resume my diving career.
