That would be fun! There's so many cool places to camp in the NW, I imagine north and central Cal ate the same way. I was born in your neck of the woods (Redwood City) but I haven't been back in decades, except for a weekend with my precious in Crescent City some time ago.
Yeah I think California has a lot of beautiful places but I like the NW too. It is always so green and treesy. And Portland has every bit as much to offer for foodies and we always enjoy wondering around that big old book store .. name escapes me right not.
If you guys ever get down this way you're always welcome to crash here. We've got a guest room (with a bathroom I'm remodeling). Of course the place is a hundred year old warehouse with zero architectural interest but we call it home.
