Yeah, I didn't think that Min thinks that the US is ideologically pure nor wholly divorced from the events in Syria. Maybe it's just the length of my post that made it seem like I was making a direct refutation of something that Min believes. But, I didn't really expect that he would disagree with my points. I just wanted to substantiate my first paragraph by adding some informative sources on the subject, i.e. certain things which may be new to some people.
And yeah there are various other elements that account for the chaos, a mix of both internal and foreign factors. Too much to mention all of them right now.
