Well, my story is relatively short. I was born into a Catholic/Protestant family with strong ties with both sides of Christianity. I went to church with my parents on a Sunday afternoon in my Sunday best, then once that was over, I went to a sort of bible school after the service for children. Once that was established, I was overwhelmed in my neighbourhood (Manchester, England) to see loads of people in uniform playing musical instruments and marching around our area which made me feel proud. This is when I joined the boys brigade. When we moved to the Midlands, it was a whole new world and to be honest, we didn't go to church once. However, I still had my bible which was the Good News Bible from the early 1980s, then when I went to secondary school, I was given a small red bible in an assembly. To cut a long story short, when I was 11 years of age, I cut ties with religion altogether and formed my own opinions and went my own way. 32 years have passed by and I am still alive, in spite of what life has thrown at me and I have never needed Gods help. Those who do, are simply insecure.
