I don't know that I'd call anyone drilling holes through their own hands & feet a wimp. A deranged lunatic, maybe, but not a wimp. Of course, regular nails are way too small. You should use steel spikes. And you should blunt the tips of the nails before driving them in so that they don't split the wood. Jesus knew this, he was a carpenter's son. I wish I had that cartoon to share here.
Oh and I like how in the bible it was very specific that Jesus was crucified naked, but in popular religious art you always see a cloth around his waist. I guess that goes in hand with Jesus always being portrayed as a blond haired, blue eyed European type instead of the dark, swarthy, middle-easterner he really would have been.
