There are reasonable precautions that can be taken to avoid getting burned and drinking/staying out too long is like reducing the SPF of your skin. Drinking for the rapist increases chance of solar flare which sun block won't help against.
It was a terrible analogy and unskillful presentation, I can imagine a reaction of "to hell with this asshole, I'll drink as much as I want!" and so the branch bears bad fruit with poisonous result, must be cut of and thrown in the mulch heap.
