I meant we shouldn't have to water down and erase our racial identities just to stop racism.Perhaps we would have generations of people who feel a kinship with other races and cultures because they are kin.
But what I said about inheritance holds, very few people inherit exactly 50/50 genes and physical characteristics from their parents, you can inherit a mixture of their features or even "hidden" features that you get from generations further back (like people randomly getting blue eyes in a family of brown eyes, like I did).
Genetics can be unpredictable and have randomness to them, you'll never be able to racially homogenize humanity by mixing everyone up, it doesn't work that way. What we'd end up with is a larger-scale version of what you see among black Americans (most of whom are mixed to some degree) with "team lightskin vs team darkskin".
That's mostly a geographical thing, isn't it? I was raised in a neighborhood that is 99% white (actual stat) I never befriended someone who wasn't white until college.
