I don't want to diminish the accomplishments of his companies, but the Musk worship is a bit much at times.Musk is a well known micro-manager and all around sharp guy. By all accounts, he's more involved and knowledgeable regarding the development and production ends than most ceos...but, ultimately, there isn't a single human being alive who knows how to build everything that goes into something as simple as a mouse (a strange but not often recognized fact of modern life), let alone a rocket.
It really must suck to be a developer or engineer at his companies, and when you accomplish something cool, the crowd automatically sings "praise the magical Elon, bringer of the cargo!". People watch too much Iron Man.
The hero worship sells shitty electric cars that won;t do what they say they can do...operationally, economically, or environmentally, yet....and -that's- what counts, that's the scorecard for a guy with musks job, lol. In that context...he's clearly a hero.
