The wording of the rule only seems to be objectionable to you so far. I think it's pretty clear what is and what isn't covered. There's nothing preventing you from disclosing information about your family providing it isn't personally identifiable.
I wasn't talking about retroactive banning. SC's comment that this rule change was exclusively because of me, or something along those lines, alerted me, however.
What about describing one's relationship and even going into details as long as no personally identifiable information is disclosed?...
