Five letters is the high end, and you play against each other (each of you has a word, whoever gets their opponent's word first is the winner.)
I like that idea. And yes, I've never played more than 5 letter words before. When you consider the color peg version is what, like 6 colors in four or five positions? Twenty six letters is somewhat ameliorated by the requirement of being an actual word.
When I keep track of the information I just record the number of letters in it at all with the number of those in the correct spot in parentheses. Like: FURRY 2(1) for two letters in the word but just one of those in the right spot.
